The Leslie Science Center or the Leslie Science and Nature Center is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It is a children’s camp and nature and science center that can trace its history back to 1923 when the area that the Leslie Science Center now stands on was the residence of Dr. Eugen and Emily Lesley. The Lesley couple enjoyed having kids play on their land, and they wanted to keep the land activities for kids. The property was deeded to the City of Ann Arbor. Planning on the Leslie Science Center started in 1983. It later opened and was operated by the city. In 2007, the Leslie Science Center separate from the city. The name was changed to the Leslie Science and Nature Center. Attractions found in the center include a Critter House, Spray House, and a Caretaker’s Cottage.
