Florence Airport, Peretola is the international airport of Tuscany’s capital, Florence, Italy. It is a commercial airport that serves as second busiest in the region next to Pisa International Airport. In its early years, the airport was named after an Italian merchant, Amerigo Vespucci, and was known to be Amerigo Vespucci Airport. It was only in 1992 that the airport inaugurated its building devoted for arrivals and in 1994, it opened its building for departures.
